As I might have mentioned elsewhere, I want to learn to draw. I’m not very good at it 😛
The wife is much better at art, but she feels that she needs to improve on her drawing/sketching. So we have been trying a few different drawing courses online. But most of them didn’t appeal to us that much. So we decided to try something on our own — draw something daily, and see where it goes …
Well, that was the idea, at least 😛 But we got stuck in the execution since we didn’t have anything we really wanted to draw every day. But that changed yesterday.
We watch a lot of travel videos on YouTube and quite a few of them are of people visiting Sri Lanka. We comment on the things they do or say, and sometimes I’d quip about something on a video. It occurred to me yesterday that we could probably turn these quips and comments into a cartoon?
So that’s what we decided to do!
We would each draw our own version of the story and then publish it and see where it goes. We decided to call this comic, if a continuing comic it turns out to be, “Idle Thoughts”.
And the above is our first attempt 🙂
